What Hot Stuff Wellness Means to Me.

Hi, my name is Sydney Paige Rosenberg, and I am the founder of Hot Stuff Wellness. I’m 22 years old, and you might be wondering… What is a 22-year-old doing guiding me through my wellness journey?

A little bit about me—I was raised on the South Shore of Long Island. I was exposed to neurodiversity very early in life. Having someone in my life with unique needs, I never questioned anyones differences . I was raised to embrace inclusivity and acceptance, values I still live by every day.

Other than that, my childhood was pretty typical—McDonald’s on Fridays, soda on special occasions, dessert every night (in moderation). It all seemed fine until I started noticing changes that many teenagers experience today: acne, bloating, weight gain, anxiety, and a complicated relationship with food. There are so many voices telling young people what to eat, how to exercise, and what’s “normal.” But what’s the real answer? The wellness world lacks inclusivity, personalization, and the understanding that one-size-fits-all approaches simply don’t work. That’s when I realized the industry needed to change.

I spent my early teenage years crash dieting, starving, and bingeing—doing whatever I could to “get skinny.” I saw multiple nutritionists, paid for private trainers, and forced myself into unsustainable routines. I failed, over and over again. I struggled with body image, confidence, and constant comparison.

At 17, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)—a hormonal disorder that can cause irregular periods, ovarian cysts, weight gain, acne, and excess hair growth due to elevated androgen levels. What hit me the hardest? My doctor told me I’d have a very difficult time having children. At just 17, that news changed my life. Looking back now, I know that doctor was wrong to deliver the information that way—but I’m grateful, because it led me to where I am today.

For the next two years, I dove into fixing this problem naturally, though at first, I went about it all the wrong ways—No fat! No carbs! Lift heavy weights, even when your body is screaming to stop! But as I kept researching and connecting with incredible people, I finally found the answer.

I had to slow down and listen to my body—not an easy task in today’s fast-paced world. I shifted my focus to the quality of my food, where it came from, and how it affected my blood sugar. A key symptom of PCOS is insulin resistance—when the body’s cells don’t respond properly to insulin, leading to high blood sugar and increasing the risk of metabolic disorders like type 2 diabetes. Essentially, unregulated blood sugar fuels inflammation, the root cause of conditions like diabetes, Alzheimer’s, cancer, and heart disease.

Determined to take control of my health, I pursued training as a functional nutritionist, which gave me the tools to heal my body naturally. Through this training, I was educated on how to help heal all people and their symptoms through a functional approach, addressing the root causes of health issues rather than just masking them. At the same time, I was enrolled at The University of Arizona to study Wellness and Health Promotion, further deepening my understanding of holistic health. Eventually, I transitioned to online schooling while also working closely with adults in my community with autism and other developmental disorders.

Through my education, hands-on experience, and lifestyle changes, I completely reversed my PCOS symptoms and healed my digestion. Five years after my diagnosis, I wake up with energy, have zero ovarian cysts, and have a regular cycle—something I was once told I’d struggle with forever unless I took birth control.

Holistic wellness became my passion, but I also saw how much it was needed in the special needs community. I worked with individuals facing food aversions, limited diets, digestive issues, and emotional dysregulation that impacted their daily lives. For a population that is often misunderstood and may struggle to express discomfort or health concerns, creating wellness solutions is essential. When we prioritize their well-being, we empower them with better emotional regulation and an improved quality of life.

I healed my anxiety, stress, and digestion through meditation, mindful nutrition, and movement. And I know I can do the same for others.

During a deep meditation, the idea for Hot Stuff Wellness came to me. I immediately filed the paperwork, started making my business compliant, and earned my 200HR yoga teaching certification. I continued working as a DSP (Direct Support Professional), constantly thinking about how I could better serve this community.

Hot Stuff Wellness was created to transform lives—of all ages and abilities—through slow, sustainable changes that create lasting results.

Become a better you. I’m so excited you’re here!

With Gratitude,

Sydney Paige Rosenberg
